Faith -- otherwise known as trust/belief/confidence/fealty/hope/loyalty is able to flip disadvantageous situations into promising opportunities. If you strongly believe a person is good no matter whatever other people or even he/she himself/herself thinks, and you put words into actions like continuously helping him/her to turn for the better, it is still possible that he/she will realize your intentions eventually and really turn for not just the better, but for the best.
Persistence -- otherwise known as determination/doggedness/perseverance/persistence/resolution is a characteristic trait that enables an individual to withstand the passage of time by holding firmly and steadfastly to a purpose, state, or undertaking despite obstacles, warnings, or setbacks. The person is able to achieve eventual success as he/she engages in believing that his/her judgement is right. However, if he/she misuses it, like gambling when there is obviously a much higher probability of him/her losing, then, he/she is bound to suffer for the dire consequences.

As you can see, once these 2 powerhouses potent forces combine, the eventual result is that you will be able to produce unbelievable power;The synchronization beyond normal limits will produce a runaway destructive force. So it is paramount that we use these 2 qualities inherent within us -- Faith and Persistence -- wisely judiciously and not squander or misuse it. If me believe a person is good and is a good friend, me will continue to believe him/her until he/she denies/repudiates me. Gotcha !?! Jus' Kiddin' !?!
