The things we used to say Everything we used to do All the memories lead back to you. I’d adore having them come out and play again for a moment But as for now, I press rewind. I take everything in as is To realize what I’ve lost And what I’ve discovered. I knew this time would come The day I faced authenticity. I've learned so much from you. I guess I’ve learned to grow up on my own But nothing feels like it’s worth living Because nothing only matters when I’m in the midst of you.

Exciting Patented REVELation Discovery BreakThough THesis of 2009 with some profound Insights of [ Divine Vision ]...
UNCOMPLETED...
THE BLIND MEN AND THE ELEPHANT
John Godfrey Saxe's ( 1816-1887) version of the famous Indian legend,
It was six men of Indostan
To learning much inclined,
Who went to see the Elephant
(Though all of them were blind),
That each by observation
Might satisfy his mind.
The First approach'd the Elephant,
And happening to fall
Against his broad and sturdy side,
At once began to bawl:
"God bless me! but the Elephant
Is very like a wall!"
The Second, feeling of the tusk,
Cried, -"Ho! what have we here
So very round and smooth and sharp?
To me 'tis mighty clear
This wonder of an Elephant
Is very like a spear!"
The Third approached the animal,
And happening to take
The squirming trunk within his hands,
Thus boldly up and spake:
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a snake!"
The Fourth reached out his eager hand,
And felt about the knee.
"What most this wondrous beast is like
Is mighty plain," quoth he,
"'Tis clear enough the Elephant
Is very like a tree!"
The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear,
Said: "E'en the blindest man
Can tell what this resembles most;
Deny the fact who can,
This marvel of an Elephant
Is very like a fan!"
The Sixth no sooner had begun
About the beast to grope,
Then, seizing on the swinging tail
That fell within his scope,
"I see," quoth he, "the Elephant
Is very like a rope!"
And so these men of Indostan
Disputed loud and long,
Each in his own opinion
Exceeding stiff and strong,
Though each was partly in the right,
And all were in the wrong!
MORAL.
So oft in theologic wars,
The disputants, I ween,
Rail on in utter ignorance
Of what each other mean,
And prate about an Elephant
Not one of them has seen!
A wise man explains to them:
All of you are right. The reason every one of you is telling it differently is because each one of you touched the different part of the elephant. So, actually the elephant has all the features you mentioned.[1]
This resolves the conflict, and is used to illustrate the principle of living in harmony with people who have different belief systems, and that truth can be stated in different ways (in Jainist beliefs often said to be seven versions). This is known as the Syadvada, Anekantvad, or the theory of Manifold Predictions.[1]
ASsumptions: The Blind Men use the term Elephant to describe a thing they have not seen before but they have prior knowledge of what a Wall, Spear, Snake, Tree, Fan and Rope is Like.
Summarisation of REsults:
1) The First Blind Man describes the Elephant's Skin: [ Broad and sturdy side ] as a Wall. = Belly/ Skin or Kūn 坤
2) The Second Blind Man describes the Elephant's Tusk: [ Very round and smooth and sharp ] as a Spear. = Mouth or Duì 兌
3) The Third Blind Man describes the Elephant's Trunk: [ Squirming trunk ] as a Snake. =
Hand or 艮 Gèn since elephants don't have hands, only foot and basically use their trunks as hands.
4) The Fourth Blind Man describes the Elephant's Knee: [ Mighty plain ] as a Tree. = Thigh or 巽 xùn
4a) Intermission Finding: The oracle Eristotle tells them they are all right, and that
the elephant is a great Tree, and on this tree grow leaves like great Fans to give most wondrous shade and fan the breeze. And the branches of this tree are like Spears to protect it. For this is the Tree of Creation and of Eternal Life, and the Great Serpent hangs still upon it.
Unfortunately, it is hidden behind a great Wall, which is why it was not discovered until this very day. It cannot be reached by normal means.[6]
By twisting the truth into an original perspective that harmonizes the discordant elements (an example of the Ek-sen-trik Discordian principle of "harmonious discord"), the oracle stops the war. Then she tells them that she can teach them, for a price, how to use a rope she's found (the elephant's tail) to climb the elephant, and thus gain eternal life.
Eristotle then named an extremely high price for her services ( Eternal Life doesn’t come cheap ), and made quite a bundle.
Moral: Anyone can lead blind men to an elephant, but a Discordian can charge admission.
5) The Fifth Blind Man describes the Elephant's Ear: [ Marvel of an Elephant ] as a Fan. = Ear or 坎 kǎn
6) The Sixth Blind Man describes the Elephant's Tail: [ Swinging Tail which fell within his scope ] as a Rope/Pestle. = ?? Missing Tail or FairyTail ?? Humans got tails or nortz ??
Additional Blind Man added by Me: ( May be quite Inaccurate... )
7) The Seventh Blind Man describes the Elephant's Eye: [ Soft Membrane ] as a Jelly. = Eye or 離 Lí
8) The Eighth Blind Man describes the Elephant's Foot: [ Nearly Round with Pads ] as Pillar. = 震 Zhèn
9) The Ninth Blind Man describes the Elephant's Head: [ Smooth and Round ] as a Rubber Pot = 乾 Qián
10) The Tenth Blind Man describes the Elephant's Existence: [ Gestalt Vision ] as a Plant-Eating Elephant Mammal. Gestalt psychology (also Gestalt of the Berlin School) is a theory of mind and brain that proposes the operational principle of the brain is holistic, parallel, and analog, with self-organizing tendencies; or, that the Whole is Different from the sum of its parts. The Gestalt effect refers to the form-forming capability of our senses, particularly with respect to the visual recognition of figures and whole forms instead of just a collection of simple lines and curves. The word Gestalt in German literally means "shape" or "figure."
Synergy (from the Greek syn-ergo, συνεργός meaning working together) is the term used to describe a situation where the final outcome of a system is greater than the sum of its parts.
Synergy can also mean:
* A mutually advantageous conjunction where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
* A dynamic state in which combined action is favored over the sum of individual component actions.
* Behavior of whole systems unpredicted by the behavior of their parts taken separately. More accurately known as emergent behavior.
* The cooperative action of two or more stimuli or drugs.
Me propose employing Synergistic Gestalt to Explain and Probe into the Existence, Cause and Effects of Phenomenons, Problems+++
On reading the BLind men and an Elephant, you will realise that each was partly in the right, yET all were in the wrong...
THat is what me aim to establish as a new paradigm for our understanding of the workings in this World.
Statistical numerics are concerned with Location [ Mean (Arithmetic, Geometric, Harmonic) • Median • Mode ], Dispersion [ Range • Standard deviation • Coefficient of variation • Percentile ] and Moments [ Variance • Semivariance • Skewness • Kurtosis ] with averages, median, mean, ratios and percentages trumping the headlines as a true indication of the entire population's drawn data when it is oftentimes misleading and can cause one to make grave errors.
The 6 ( or 10 if you want... ) Blind Men had a grope of each parts of an Elephant to figure what the target is. The hands of the blind men in effect act a statistical hand that struggles and tries to discern the entire elephant. But there are some important key features that needs to be taken into account:
1) MOTivation: How motivated the blind men are, in trying to grope the various parts of an elephant. The blind men may easily get tired, jaded and weary after not being able to figure what they are touching.
2) Areas of Contact: The blind men have a limited area of contact to touch upon the elephant. For example, when a blind man touches the knee of the elephant, he would usually move his hands up till he meets a "bump"/statistical discrepancy. Most people upon first contact with an object would usually move their hands up or down in a consistant manner. All People, me believe, would instinctively move their hands up if the first contact they touch with is Air or Nothing.
Herein comes the problem ! Sometimes, people may not get into contact with Air or Nothing ( Troubles, problems... ) at first but just start touching at a random part of the thigh of an elephant and move their hands up or down in a consistent manner with no idea how to figure out the "Elephant" they are touching so they need a "Guiding Hand"/Mentors and Teachers to tell them what to do and guide them. Sometimes, their ( statistical ) hands move up and up ( enjoy successes and wealth ), regardless of small "bumps" and fail to appreciate what are failures and don't know how to deal with failures when they finally meet one big "bump"/discrepancy, and fail to grasp the Gestalt of an Elephant. Sometimes, humans' ( statistical ) hand also move down and down ( dwell in too much failures ), ignoring small "bumps of shock", becoming apathetic and fail to "feel/sense" the meaning of optimism and confidence in lives, thus also failing to grasp the Gestalt of an Elephant. In hindsight, the "good"/( up and upwards motion ) measurements need to improve their accuracy by also moving DownWards while the "bad"/( down and downwards motion ) measurements also need to move UpWards to improve their measurements. This is somehow analagous to Donald Trump's book, Why We Want You to Be Rich: Two Men, One Message. Link: http://www.amazon.com/Why-We-Want-You-Rich/dp/1933914025
Why the conventional ( statistical ) hand ( which acts as a yardstick or ruler ) fails to outline or answer/predict accurately and precisely true insights/indications of a question or problem is because they are usually 2 or 1 dimensional measurements of a multi-dimensional figure. In physics and chemistry, wave–particle duality is the concept that all matter and energy exhibits both wave-like and particle-like properties. Me suspect that this Duality occurs because conventionally we are only using 2 or 1 dimensional measurements and we are not thinking in higher dimensions (eg. 3++) to describe/measure a multi-dimensional signal -- with Wave bein' a 2 dimensional quantity, and Particle being a 1 dimensional quantity. In the above scenario where the blind men groping the elephant only move only in upwards and downwards motion, they forget that they can also move sideways or around the parts of the elephant to grasp the 3 dimensional aspect of the profile of an elephant.
( Very Momentous ! )
Sometimes, we try to get a glimpse of a protean whole through the keyhole of a single dimensional number/statistic when it has its limitations in revelations to a question or problem. That isn't to mean that statistics are useless but statistics are usually used to define the cause and effects of a situation/problem but they can easily "get lost" in clusters as in the case in the blind men figuring out how to grasp the Gestalt of an Elephant. However, certain ( statistical ) hands such as the blind men touching ( Head - 乾 ) and ( Belly/Skin - 坤 ) are more accurate in defining what an elephant is while ( Ear - 坎 ), ( Thigh - 巽 ), ( Eye - 離 ), ( Foot - 震 ) are more precise but even then Though each was partly in the right, And all were in the wrong!
3) Time of Contact: The blind men need a reasonable amount of time for their ( statistical ) hands to sample the Gestalt of the Elephant. Too much time taken by a single blind man to sample the entire elephant would sap his energy easily. Thus he needs to have eat more Green Vegetables to get his energy back - just a harmless joke..haha..While too little time taken by a single blind man would lower his productivity and efficiency in sampling the elephant.
4) Communication: Each of the blind men would not be able to derive conclusive results if they only work alone. Thus they need to work together synergistically with multiple intelligiences and improving also their weakest link to "draw out" the Gestalt of an Elephant.
5) We sometimes also forget that the Elephant is a living thing and there are times when it can "misbehave". Thus while the fixed or varying ( statistical ) hand tries to grasp a part of the elephant, the elephant may sometimes fidget and move its thigh so we will not be able to grasp it clearly and define what it is.
Let me use an example to prove moi point:
http://sgcafe.com/showthread.php?t=58275 - What would you want more in a job ?
The above biased, limited in scope and small pool of sampled data shows that most people would want Job Satisfaction as their job with Money as a second factor for the choice of their preferred job.
However, it fails to account that a job is a multi-dimensional Gestalt where the Whole can be Different from the Sum of its Parts, and people choose their jobs based on certain 3 to 5 Top priorities rather than just a single top priority like job satisfaction alone or may somehow in the end, compromise a job which emphasises on the 2nd or 3rd priority instead.
Singapore faces an aging population and me don't even need to rely on statistics to know it, but just observe whenever me go that family sizes are getting smaller and smaller and its not easy to use statistics to find out why it is so. Even me has significant problems trying to figure out why. Using 佛经 or Rise from your Experiences ( Me is be a Free-Thinker but me like 佛经 Thus sometimes people may say that the past is not important but its not true. The past is important so that you know what and where your problem is, how to rectify it and thereafter improve upon it. ), Cause and Effect Method Together with Statistics as an auxiliary tool rather than relying totally on it and Considering things from a Geo-Social Economical point of view rather than Montetary-Economics.
Moi' 101 [ Holy Order ] Eye of Insight:
INCOMPLETE!!
Most people who want jobs that have Job Satisfaction usually stay single or don't have children because:
They cannot get along with their Beloved.
They have no money to get married,
They do not have the ability to own a house where they can get married,
They want to enjoy their present lifestyle with no disruptions,
They are struggling with caring for their parents or siblings,+++
Most people who want jobs that gives them Money usually stay single because:
They cannot get along with their Beloved.
They have money and even giving them money as incentives will only give them to splurge and enjoy their holiday get-aways or hedonistic lifetyle. Giving them too little, they will also not be able to raise their children or hire maids to take care of them.
They do not have anyone to care for their children. ( In the past, families are large, so there are parents who can take care of their children for the married, and they lived within considerable proximity to one another so help can be catered for quite easily. )
The working hours are long as a result of the job that gives them money so they tend to work so late with inadequate time to care for a child and teach a Child proper Wisdom/Knowledge, Values and Concentration.
If we solely rely on statistics to grasp the problem, we would no doubt get wrong and progressively wrong
By using 佛经之道 and applying past experiences as an approach, we will realise that most people in the past used to have 4, 5, 6 or even 7 siblings. But people nowadays only have 2 or 3 children. If statistics only attempt to measure current trends and only recent trends, it may not be able to diagnose the problem accurately and precisely. Statistics also have a tendency to go awry and be "biased wrong" if it intends to base its model on an existing model:
1) Whose Source of Cause is "wrong"/flawed/inaccurate or not precise,
2) We need to know what we have measured accurately and precisely but we also need to know what the Source of Cause cannot or did not measure ( This is usually neglected. For example, in using 22⁄7 as approximate to π, we usually truncate to 3 significant figures, thus losing precision in measurement and the same goes for the golden ratio, approximately 1.6180339887... )
3) THat never think/cover beyond what is measured. For example, we know that π "seems" to be limitless but most people just use 3.142 for most purposes. But there may be certain situations like astrophysics when precision is extremely important and it can go further than 3.14159265... and people need to know it.
3) THat Never show how narrow/closely the Source of Cause & Effects relate to each other. Not sure??
4) THat Never illustrate the Effects of the data shown accurately and precisely and how the Effects are going to progress...
Important Paradigm:
For example, a child born in year 2000 would later in life, think that parents used to be only 1 of 2 or 3 children which we realise is quite true in most cases and samples that data, thinking that it must mean the rest of his/her past ancestors are also at most only 1 of 2 or 3 children which is the same situation as he is in which we will realise is False. A child born in 1980 will realise that his/her parents are actually 1 of 5, 6 or 7 children which is true and the earlier data sampled by the child born in 1980 is a True Indication and better sample that of the child born in 2000. This therefore shows that if the past is not preserved with Wisdom/Knowledge, Values and Concentration, not passed on to the next generation, then we may face a situation where we encounter the interference in Shannon–Weaver model of communication, ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shannon%E2%80%93Weaver_model ) where the "message" gets eroded and we lose the essence of the [ True Key ].
http://sgcafe.com/showthread.php?t=58413 - What's your 5 favourite types of Intelligiences ?
The above biased, limited in scope and small pool of sampled data shows that most people would want Interpersonal Intelligence ("People Smart”) as their Top Intelligience with
Group A:
1) ( Interpersonal Intelligence ("People Smart”) as their Top Intelligience )
2) Logical-Mathematical Intelligence ("Number/Reasoning Smart")
3) Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence (“Body Smart”)
Trailing behind closely..Thus as quoted from above, Sometimes, their ( statistical ) hands move up and up ( become knowledgable in certain aspects of Intelligience of Group A ), regardless of small "bumps" and fail to appreciate the other aspects of Intelligiences of Group B and C, and don't know how to deal with failures when their Top few intelligiences fail to answer an extremely difficult question or when they encounter a problem that poses a question in that of Lower Group B or C. They might also eventually encounter one big "bump"/discrepancy, and fail to grasp the Gestalt of a Vision in Life.
Group B:
4) Spatial Intelligence (“Picture Smart”)
5) Musical Intelligence (“Musical Smart”)
6) Linguistic Intelligence ("Word Smart")
7) Naturalist Intelligence (“Nature Smart”)
It must also be strongly stressed that people have different preferences and that a person may nOT always necessarily be knowledgable in certain aspects of Intelligience of Group A but may be naturally inclined towards Group B Intelligiences or even Group C. Thus, there must be a guiding hand helping them to develop competencies in either Group A or C while still maintaining Intelligiences in Group B or C rather than focusing entirely on just a particular Group. Eventually people ought to possess at least a stable 2 Groups Combination. However, this is only a microscopic evaluation and when we talk about the blind men using their ( statistical ) hands to grope the elephant, in macroscopic evaluation, its also possible that there are "clusters of people" who develop competencies and research in jUSt a particular group and sacrfice away their time in developing other competencies. A Guiding Invisible Hand would thus be necessary to make sure there is a mainstream focus towards the development of a certain group A, B or C while allowing an extended freedom for other people to develop the intelligiences of the other groups.
Group C:
8) Intra-personal Intelligence ("Self Smart”)
9) Existential Intelligence
Group C may be a very weak group but Intra-personal Intelligence (Self Smart”) is a very interesting undeveloped potential which remains untapped to reveal its Sparkling GLow like ( Head - 乾 ) while Existential Intelligence is even more intriguing and even more underdeveloped and seems like a brush or ( tip of the tail ) which humans "seem" to have an absence of yet we are so closely related to monkeys and chimpanzees who do have tails.
""
A Buddhist version is told in Jainism and Buddhism. Udana 68-69: Parable of the Blind Men and the Elephant. Buddha tells the story of a raja who had six blind men gathered together to examine the elephant.
"When the blind men had felt the elephant, the raja went to each of them and said to each, 'Well, blind man, have you seen the elephant? Tell me, what sort of thing is an elephant?'[2]
They assert the elephant is like a pot (head), winnowing basket (ear), ploughshare (tusk), plough (trunk), granary (body), pillar (foot), mortar (back), pestle (tail), or brush (tip of the tail).
The men come to blows, which delights the raja. The raja says:
O how they cling and wrangle, some who claim
For preacher and monk the honored name!
For, quarreling, each to his view they cling.
Such folk see only one side of a thing.[2]
""
In the Buddhist version, the Head is like a Pot or Intra-personal Intelligence ("Self Smart”) which seems to signify the Inborn Intelligience of a Person which remains untapped while the Tail is like a brush or Existential Intelligence which no human seems to have an answer to. Even though they are in Group C, it gives us no reason to neglect them totally as A chain is only as strong as its Weakest link.
